These photos are from a 3 week stay in Oaxaca City in late July and early August of 2007. During this time, Ingrid and I studied at a local language school. We spent most of our time at the school, and what time we could wandering and exploring the area. It was also the one year anniversary of the cancellation of the state-sponsored Guelaguetza festival due to the (ongoing) social conflicts starting in May of 2006, and the continuation of that struggle was apparent in many parts of the city.
